Reactive factors
The semi-autonomic state of mind
We can’t wait for a tiger to bite to consider it dangerous
We have ‘set stage’ responses
Stress responses:
- Fight
- Flight
- Freeze
Non-stress responses
- Ignore
- Wait and see
- Negotiate
- Study
The real wonder is that we differentiate between a stress and non-stress response for absolutely everything.
The sad part? Many people live in a near constant state of flight/urgency (get it done! Move move move!) as a part of their everyday job.
